Welcome to the DTE archive!
After more than twenty-five years of working for ecological justice in Indonesia, DTE ended its operations in October 2014.
DTE's staff and board appreciate that the news of DTE's closure has caused some disappointment and we are grateful for all the expressions of concern and support that have been received from our partners and the wider network in Indonesia and beyond.
However, DTE's closure does not mean that our work cannot continue. We are hopeful that other groups and new organisations will carry our work forward and improve upon it.
DTE's website houses articles, reports and campaign documents going back to the 1990s and we have arranged that this resource remains available for public use until November 2024. During this time it will remain online at the current address: www.downtoearth-indonesia.org.
We remain immensely grateful to everybody involved in our work and our organisation and all those who have joined our campaigns during our quarter century as part of the ecological justice movement!
